Model 4
The wire inside the world’s mastering rooms, terminated like an heirloom.
- Mogami W3104 star-quad
- WBT-0610 Cu nextgen bananas
- Two-stage boots · braided sleeve
- Direction-matched pair
- Serial band · measured LCR card
Reference parts — Mogami, Duelund, Furutech wire and WBT nextgen connectors — terminated by hand in limited runs, with the full parts list printed on the card. No secrets. No magic dust. Just wire, brass, and a ledger.
Crescent City Cable Works builds reference-grade speaker cables in limited monthly runs. Every pair is cut, dressed, and terminated by hand in New Orleans, then measured on a lab meter before it ships. The numbers written on your card are the numbers your pair actually measured — not a spec sheet, not an average, not a claim.
The materials are chosen the old way: wire with published specs and real lineage, German connectors in pure copper and fine silver, cotton and brass on the heritage build where plastic would be cheaper. Terminations are crimped or soldered to the connector maker’s spec — nothing on the bench is there because it photographs well. If a cable company won’t tell you what’s inside the sleeve, you already know why. Ours is printed on every card.
No claims a bench can’t repeat.
Three builds, made to order. Standard length 8 ft (2.5 m); custom lengths quoted same-day. Bananas, spades, or bare — your terminals, both ends.
The wire inside the world’s mastering rooms, terminated like an heirloom.
Duelund’s tinned copper in oiled cotton — the Western Electric lineage, perfected in Denmark.
Furutech’s α-OCC copper with carbon-particle damping, terminated in fine silver.
The full bill of materials ships on every build card, and it reads like this:
| Component | What we use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wire | Mogami W3104 · Duelund DCA12GA · Furutech FS-Alpha 36 | Star-quad or damped OCC constructions with published specs — the wire professionals and fanatics actually agree on |
| Terminals | WBT nextgen 0610 Cu / Ag · 0661 sandwich spades | Pure-copper or fine-silver signal path, expanding lock, made in Germany — the reference, not a lookalike |
| Boots & dress | Sumitomo adhesive-lined polyolefin · Techflex braid · cotton on the Model 12 | Two-stage strain relief that locks for decades; dress that ages, not yellows |
| Geometry | Star-quad, direction-matched, lettering aligned | Measurable interference rejection — Maxwell, not magic |
| Proof | Per-pair LCR measurement, serialized | Your cable’s actual inductance and capacitance, printed — a certificate no five-figure cable ships with |
The full bill of materials ships on every build card — wire, terminals, solder, dress, all named. You always know exactly what you bought.
Every pair is measured before it ships. We make no claims a bench can’t repeat.
New amp, new terminals, twenty years from now — send them back, we re-terminate for the cost of parts. Forever.
Limited runs, built by hand in New Orleans. Current lead time: 2–3 weeks. Worth it.
Built in limited runs. Production is capped at six pairs per month, allocated in order of deposit. When a run is full, orders roll to the next. Every commission is built to your system — send your length, amplifier, and speakers, and you’ll get a firm build spec and ship date.
